  • Natural Gut String. Just like it sounds, natural gut is the most premium string available. It offers the best tension maintenance and playability on the market. Natural gut lasts longer and holds tension better than any other string segment. Heavy top spinners and string breakers are using natural gut in a blend with a co-polyester monofilament ...

  • 2. Poly is slicker than gut allowing the gut to slide freely 3. Gut will provide more power and it being able to move freely will give you good spin 4. Setup will last longer due to less notching of the gut strings. If you put gut in the crosses and poly in the mains it will notch the gut much quicker and cause it to break faster.

  • Summary. Tour Bite Soft, a co-poly from Solinco, is an offshoot of the original Tour Bite, a shaped spin monster with a well deserved following among advanced players. For our playtest team, Tour Bite Soft definitely lived up to its name. In addition to being noticeably softer than the original Tour Bite, this string is one of the most arm-friendly co-polys we've playtested.

  • Thanks Bud. I bought some, thinking it would be a good multifiament. But "poly ether" sounds a little "polyish". I remember having a Technifibre multifilament poly called "Spinfire", but this is much softer feeling in the hand.

  • Luxilon co-polyester strings took over the pro tour in the early 2000s. Their exceptional control and durability helped advanced players take bigger cuts at the ball, resulting in nearly unprecedented levels of control and spin. ... It had a soft feel with good pocketing, which you would typically find with a livelier co-poly. That being said ...

  • Wilson Revolve is a comfortably firm co-poly that is well suited to players with long, fast strokes. Like the best control strings, Revolve provides tremendous precision and predictability on the biggest swings. It also features a unique molecular structure and a proprietary additive designed to increase the string's ability to deflect and snap back (see heavy spin).

  • Whatever soft poly at the lowest tension that doesn’t make a weird noise ( 40 lbs at the moment Gioco Uragano). Poly will rule then all, it is cheaper to make and even I who absolutely hatted poly (arm issues) found that they kinda work at verily low tensions and the new soft polys kinda work for beginners at these very low tensions( they return some energy, at higher tension the ball kinda ...

  • If you’re getting pain i would recommend a soft co-Poly (Hyper G Soft is my all time favourite string) at a LOW tension. And I mean LOW - like 35-45lbs low. Mannarino uses Luxilon Alu Power at 24lbs in an AeroPro Drive for reference and he’s like top 100 so. 2) Hybrid Strings.

  • Of all the soft co-poly's I've tried, VOLKL V-Square was the most impressive for spin. It is crazy soft and stretches as you string it, holds tension much better than cyclone, works at a wide range of tensions, and lasts OK, especially at it's price point. Lower powered and stiffer when strung at higher tensions like 53+.

  • Comfort. 7.5 out of 10. Luxilon Element was back in its comfort zone when it came to comfort. For a poly string, this is very comfortable to play with, with good cushioning and vibration dampening. Polys are notorious for being particularly stiff and not offering much in the way of comfort.
